I enjoyed reading this book, just as I have done for every previous book in the series. I am not sure if the author is writing more for the YA market, or if I'm just getting older. In either case, I don't really care - I liked it!
In this series, there is usually a 'message' in the story. I'm not saying that this is a preachy book, but since the series tends to have young people as principle characters, that each story tends to have something that those young people need to learn as they grow into adults in their world. If the readers take that as something applicable to their own lives, that is up to each of them.
This time, there is a dangerous bully loose in the city of Haven. It is up to Mags and Amily (who we've seen grow up in previous novels) to find that bully and stop them before someone gets really hurt. Along the way, we meet some even younger folks. I hope to see more of them in future books.
I gave this book four stars out of five on Goodreads and Amazon
